Stewart, and Major Sherry Lynn Womack, shown here at the dedication of Stewart’s mural which he donated to Cental Command Headquarters at McDill Air Force Base In Tampa Florida, in 2004. Major Womack is a Senior leader in a Medical Battalion presently serving in Iraq.

As a child in England during World War Two (WWII), Stewart was influenced by the U.S. 8th Air Force and the support that he and his family received from these generous warriors. Their actions committed Stewart on his eventual but certain path to America.

From an early age Stewart drew and painted, and attended The Royal Academy of Art in London. In 1958 he received his degree in Fine Arts & Graphic Design. In 1962 Lennen & Newell, an advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York, recruited him.

In 1965 Stewart was drafted into the U.S. Army and served honorably. Due to his obvious talents and military areas of expertise, he has continued serving his beloved America by working for Sandia National Laboratories, a Department of Energy facility in Livermore, California. Stewart has also been active with and contributes to the U.S. Air Force Art Program.

Stewart lives with his wife in Newport Beach, California where he has his studio. You can see his body of work at www.artistforamerica.com and one of his special achievements is a mural which he donated after taking more than a year to complete. Proceeds from the www.killedinactionfund.org have gone to help the KIA families and the work recognizes and thanked the troops of  “Operation Enduring Freedom”. The mural was on display at Central Command HQ building at McDill Air Force Base in Florida and now is in Washington DC.
